Fireworks.

It is a grand tradition in England for people all over the country to celebrate the 5th of November with fireworks, even those who aren't quite sure what it is they are celebrating. 

Every year thousands of people stand crammed together in a muddy field tolerating the freezing temperatures to witness these fireworks displays, only to end up stuck in a crowd trying get back home when it's all over.

Despite this there is something almost magical about watching these beautiful explosions shoot across the sky that compels me to attend this festival every year.
